Member Privilege Protection
(Overdraft Protection for Checking Accounts)

(Benefit for Qualified Members)

Member Privilege Protection is designed to protect you from the embarrassment and expense of returned checks when you make an honest mistake in your checkbook and it leaves you a “little short” to cover all your outstanding checks. As an alternative to returning, unpaid, non-sufficient fund items, Member Privilege Protection allows us to consider, without obligation on our part, payment of your reasonable overdrafts as long as you maintain your account in good standing.

A Member Privilege Protection charge of $35.00 will apply to each item that would create an overdraft on your account. The credit union will send you a notice each time an overdraft occurs. Member Privilege Protection has been designed as a “safety net” in the event you have made a mistake in your balance calculation in your checking account.
